To mark a new year, a new start, the author has decided to start a site anew.
1st January 2009 that is!
This blog will increase in entries as the author try out new food or stumble upon cravings or even trying out new cooking recipes. It will stay pure as a site for food, food, food and nothing else but food.
Any comments that have been made in this blog by the author, is purely the author’s personal point of view and it does not represent anyone else.
The author of this blog is a happy, warm bubbly girl, who smiles every time she sees someone. She has a lot to share about life experience, she loves her travel and enjoy great food! To date, she’s probably 380 posts behind for food ~ some restaurants in the past would have probably been closed down! Hah! horrible horrible………….
She would love to call herself “the Island Girl”, she’s in love with Kota Kinabalu, completely insane and madly in love with Penang! She loves the food in Penang, she loves the people, loves the lifestyle, loves their hokkien dialect, amazed by the numbers of nice hotels that’s available there… Ahhh, she’s in love with Penang. However, born and breed a Kuching gal…..
Talking about Historic buildings and laid back lifestyle, she loves to be in Malacca.. strolling for hours at Jonker Street. Nobody knows why, neither the author herself! She’s known to be a shopping queen for cosmetic products and white wares at home.
On the hidden side finds her artistic root, where she loves video editing, photography, interior designs and more.
It has always been her passion in food exploring. Being able to write for quite a few restaurants in a few different countries, it has challenged her more to explore the culinary world! If you find her post long, that means she has extra time to kill, if her post is short, it’s either she hasn’t got the time or she has run out of words of what to say.
She has a brother, who’s a great chef that works for a fine dining Italian restaurant in Auckland! Her mom and grandmothers are all great cook! So what makes her not one then? Oh well…. only Chinese dishes though! She does have quite a few good BBQ recipes! And a little of western food recipe, which she thinks she had mastered on!
New Zealand was where she grew mentally & physically (blame the cheese, bread and fresh meat! not her greedy appetite! hah!) Living independently and away from her parents throughout the years of her studies has made her a cook as well :)
She loves people gathering at her place for food! She finds joy in cooking (weird girl!) but she dislike washing the dishes (yay! normal isn’t it?!)…
She loves Kids… anyone who knows her, knows she’s in love with kids and teenagers! An articulate communicator she is too!
God has given her the gift of gap! Organizing events, social functions, training is what she loves doing too ~
So, if you’re in town at where she travels to ~ do say hi, catch up for a chit chat and let’s enjoy food together! If you stay near where she stays and you do get to know her personally, you’ll probably get a chance to try her cooking too!
Even if not, she’ll introduce you to some great restaurants!
